Anime Appreciation #2: Because Samurais in Space? Oh My!

Yeah, there are major differences.. plus a decade between the two films. As montonous as D is, I like him.

Cute! The hair is great.

There's a good difference between the first movie and Bloodlust

They're saying that the first movie has the Japanese audio on DVD so maybe I could check it out after all :D I know for sure there's no Japanese audio for Bloodlust though.

I should try making one of these though. It looks cute

I think it was because Netflix doesn't have another one. The one they tried to send me was from another warehouse and that seemed to have cracked in transit. :bawl:

Of course, the company that did the anime went under so there really aren't replacements for the DVRAB.

I can understand some worRAB. :)

I think the one I've seen was the OAV version. It was interesting, yeah. I'd like to see it in the Japanese version too.

Complain to Netflix! That's not fair

I love Death Note. It's so good. I don't really like the dubbed version though. I can't get use to the voices. I started reading the manga, but I'm only on like the second volume. I have even cosplayed as Misa once for a convention back in October.

Rebecca is my favorite.. Rear Window is good too. Does that mean you haven't seen Psycho either?

Back to animes... um I haven't been watching anything new. Been distracted lately.

Okay, we were talking about the anime Rayearth over at the Sailor Moon thread and now that we've found the Anime thread, I'd like for us to talk more about it here so let's carry on. :glow:

Most people I talk to don't even know what animes are. Or they think it's just weird... because it's not Disney? :heaRABlap:

I have been trying to find this version of the Little Mermaid.. with the real ending where the prince does not pick her and she dies. I just can't remeraber what the name of it is. Of course what I did find about it, it's not made anymore. :pout:

Can you understand them?

I've seen R.O.D... but only dubbed. I want to see it in Japanese. :pout:

I really got into Story of Saiunkoku but could only get the first disc of S1 and the second disc came broken from Netflix. They never sent me a replacement. :bawl:

No idea what is up with that. It was the official booth too. They were having a signing with the Director/Writer.. forgot. I didn't realize it was a sequel at the time until later.
