Animated films that didn't happen, but you wish that they did

Another good example is Ralph Bakshi's horror film about the half-toon/half-human girl who wants to kill her father for exsisting. Sounds like a great concept to me. Original, unique and possibly scary! Heck, even the paramount executives gave it the greenlight! Too bad they changed their minds and rewrote the script all by themselves to make what ended up being the worst film in Ralph Bakshis career, Cool World. Because of this, ralph bakshi has never made another film since then.

However, there is that Coney Island project thats been buzzing about for half a decade. I wonder how thats gonna get off the ground? We shall see, my friends. We shall see.

What depresses me about Newt is finding out why it got cancelled - it would have come out after Alpha and Omega and Rio, and all three movies have essentially the same plot (two animals are thrown together and forced to repopulate their species). The shame of it is, I know Pixar's movie would have been the best of the three.

I remember a few years back, Dreamworks announced a project called Punk Farm, which was based on a children's book about a group of farm animals starting a punk band. I never hear about it any more, they must have cancelled it or put it on the shelf.

Jem & The Holograms were very close to having a movie, but the bombing of Transformers and My Little Pony at the box office nixed that, as well as sending the G.I. Joe movie direct to video.

I know a few cousins of mine who were interested in seeing Disney's snow queen. There is a rumor that it might be brought back, but I dont know for certain if that is likely. I do know Alan menken was set for the music. Fantasia 2006 did got made but however the sequences that were made for it got set as bonus stuff for Disney DVDs. I should know because The Little Matchgirl is on the Little Mermaid DVD.

I remember reading about this in one of the topics in the CN section on here, the creator of Chowder had a post regarding on it.

I listened to a podcast interview of Bakshi that came out around 2 years ago. And Bakshi mentioned that something about the characters being wrong. He didnt know what was wrong with Coney island.

Also. I just remembered that Genndy Taravosky was set to do a movie of Astro boy. I can't help but think that would have been a better movie compared to the not so heard of film we got. I know a few people who liked it. Also does anyone know about Brad Bird's Ray Gun or Seth macfarlene doing an R rated CG film?
