I know these are normally discussed on their own, but if there's anything certain you want to discuss about holiday specials in general this year, hook it up. I'm watching the Grinch on ABC right now, and I am already somewhat pissed because they've already cut out two scenes from the opening song and Grinch rant.

I found this list of airdates for many of this years' Christmas specials, and while many of them are airing during ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas celebration, such classics as How The Grinch Stole Christmas, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, and It's a Wonderful Life are all airing on network television this year.

I personally can't wait for 24 hours of A Christmas Story on TBS, one of my favorite traditions.

I doubt that it'll be on tv, since it never is, but I always watch my He-Man/She-Ra Christmas Special dvd every year around Christmas. It's probably my all time favorite Christmas special. Also, I hope that Cartoon Network airs the Batman:The Brave & The Bold Christmas episode. That's a very good episode as well. And finally, I'm looking forward to rewatching the Phinas & Ferb Christmas episode.

Anyone know when the original Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will be repeated on CBS? Came in at the tail end of it the other night, and Channel 2 out my way doesn't have the "Start Over" feature on my cable box!:crying::mad:

I'm not sure when Rudolph will re-air on CBS.

However, by researching a little, I guess CBS cuts a lot of the original/DVD/video version.

The ending they use now, wasn't the original.

It turns out, in the original, that UKon (I can't spell his name ) found peppermint. He said it was what he was looking for. Also, Rudolph's Dad called him "my little buck" at the end.

This was all cut, to show the misfit toys being dropped off, due to a protest that Santa didn't do what he promised.
