Animal testing! PLZ answer!!!!!?

On a scale of one to ten, how bad do you conciter aimal testing? NO I am NOT thinking of trying it out. NEVER!!! I want to take a stand against it and need to know what others think

It's so cruel and inhumane..
I just don't understand how anyone can justify treating innocent animals like that...
It very upsetting to see how animals are treated sometimes..
We need to stand up for them as they can't do it for themselves...

Well as someone who has benefited from taking pharmaceuticals made from products that were initially tested on animals (as anyone who takes antibiotics or pain medication has as well) I believe when done properly (ie with animals humanely treated) that animal testing can be very beneficial to human and animal health. After all I don't want my beloved pet taking medication that hasn't been tested and proven safe and efficacious.

Universities have to follow strict guidelines (IACUC) in order to conduct animal experiments. Instead of taking a stand against animal experimentation why not spend your time educating people about humane care and usage of animals in the research arena?
