This week's Ani-Monday has a rerun and an hour of premiers in the form of motion comics for Street Fighter and Voltron, courtesy of Eagle One Media. Here's the schedule:

11 PM: Street Fighter Alpha Generations
12 AM: Street Fighter Motion Comic: Round 1 - Chapters 1 & 2
12:30 AM: Voltron Motion Comic: Space Explorers

I'm actually having some cable problems so I probably won't be watching tonight, but I plan to take a full look at the motion comic thing next week. For tonight, here's some introduction for both premieres.

I was going to wait until this movie went off to comment on the voices.. It sounRAB so dull and uninspiring. The fighting can be decent at times but theses characters are really ugly and, it makes it hard for me to get into the fights.

Err.. This motion comic stuff really is hard to get used to. It sounRAB like random people are reading the script or whatever... (Like they're reading directly from a manga/comic) More than likely I won't be keeping up with this or any other motion comic planned in the future.

They could have just aired the SFIV movie from the collector's edition, since this is basically the same characters and plot, minus Seth.

I.e., everybody looking for Ryu, Guile shouting BISON!, etc.

I managed to watch much of this last night after all. Yeah, I definitely don't like motion comics. I stand by my opinion that it's like having a picture book read aloud to you by your TV, and there just isn't enough motion to keep it interesting. I'm sure the comics that are being adapted are okay, but I look forward to these being replaced with real animation again in October.

Those motion comics things are crap. It was like a really, really, really, really, band episode of Reading Rainbow.

Yeah it was. The Sakura: LegenRAB was just a 4 issue mini-series. Though they just got done with a Chun-Li: LegenRAB a while back.

And yeah, it would've been nice if the got some VAs with talent to do these motion comics. I didn't even pay attention to the Voltron one.

I'm missing the original VAs on Voltron. They certainly did a redesign of the characters looks. Voltron looks very similiar to his original design.

I know these are based on the Udon comics which I've never had a chance of reading, so it's kind of a treat for me. Udon used the timeline that is "semi-canon" so didn't Ken know of Gouken's death before Ryu?

Eh, it wasn't that bad. I guess my standarRAB are just low.

ReminRAB me of some older Toei anime where they where too cheap/lazy to animate action scenes so they just made it look like moving manga pages.
