Ani-Monday Feb. & Mar. Schedules (Gundam 00, Gurren Lagann, Rave Master & More)

Wow, I had no idea E7 was so thoroughly despised by a lot of people here. I guess Renton rubs people the wrong way a lot. Personally, I don't see how people don't notice the character development but fine, that's subjective to the viewer.

I also don't mind that nobody dies on the Gekko, or the "alternative" clothing they wear and their attitudes. They're a far cry from the usual mecha anime protagonists and I find that relatively endearing.

My point was that: if Sci-fi must pick up a shonen adventure show which is influenced by music, they would have much better served by Eureka Seven (which at least gives the music influence a purpose) than Rave Master (which uses music as a way to say "OUR TOWNS ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER SHONEN ADVENTURE SHOWS). Although I guess picking up the original Macross would've fit well too, considering how the midnight hour is always used on older series.

Rave Master does not fit Sci-fi. I'll be shocked if it makes it to episode fourteen, even if it is uncut with a brand new dub. At least E7 or Macross would be able to finish.

If it is the edited dub, the show will be canceled within a month. Mark my worRAB.

Well as for finding Rave Master to be an odd choice... It can't even pass for a PG with the dub that has been shown here on CN. Even uncut it's quite tame... so airing it at Midnight sure seems odd.

No one's defending Rave Master. It's just that E7 is an equally horrible idea because the show has done poorly in the past. If no one wanted to see Renton whine then, I dobut things have changed now.

The original Macross and its new dub would be nice though.

If it is the Toonami edited version then I'll be rather mad. I would like to see it uncut, but hopefully this will lead to Rave Master DVD's, Which personally, I would love to have.

I'm pretty sure he meant the dub, plus I would love and hope to get uncut Rave Master DVD release, which this may lead to!!

Ani-Monday is slowly becoming the new Toonami/[adult swim]!!

I would be happy to bet that Rave master makes it all the way to end if you wish. Trust me Rave master is a anime that can get plenty of people hooked, it's just all in a matter of taste.

I didn't say that there's no character development. Certainly Eureka, Anemone, and Holland all develop throughout the course of the series, but my point is that if the characters are completely unlikeable throughout 85% of the series, it's really not enough to have them become somewhat likeable near the end of the series. I mean, we had to put up with Holland's child abuse for nearly the entire series, it doesn't make the series much better just because he becomes a dad at the end of the series. The same thing goes for Eureka's kiRAB. The audience doesn't want to put up with bratty kiRAB for 40 or so episodes in the hope that they will become good kiRAB by the end of the series. I mean, if they put the show on Sci-Fi, no one is going to stick around to find out if the characters eventually become likeable. They'll just see characters they hate and turn off the TV.

Well, some of the outfits are pretty bad, but when I said the character designs were ugly I was mostly refering to their faces. With the exception of Gidget, the characters are extremely ugly.

What makes you think Eureka 7 would last any longer? It didn't exactly get good ratings on Adult Swim. Though, has Sci-Fi ever taken off an anime before they ran all of the episodes?

*shudders* (imitating Crispin Freeman) Yeah, I agree, even having Crispin Freeman in it didn't save it, though I did enjoy Yuri Lowenthal's Haru

And, I agree stranger things have happened, I can't wait 'til tell my friend about this one, the reaction on his face will be priceless!!

You know guys, Rave Master airing doesn't necessarily have to mean leading into One Piece...

October would be the perfect time for Sci-Fi to air...SOUL EATER.

Eh. Instead of Rave Master or Eureka Seven, give us Escaflowne.

And add me to the betting pool that says Rave Master will get pulled before it finishes all the episodes.

But won't Escaflowne have to deal with going through Manga Entertainment since it's pretty much the reason why we're seeing Bandai shows on Sci-Fi?
