Angus thongs and perfect snogging

I thought the main characters, were v. much like average british teenaage girls.
we all had a group of girls, code names for the boy we liked, goofy jokes/private jokes, wanted the coolest parties, in a way i suppose we were quite selfish in some aspects, like most teenagers are; ...that's my opinion anyway..it deffo reminded me of when i was 13/14!

read some of the book - seemed entertaining enough.

I went to see this film :D :o

I thought it was perfectly fun teenage girly stuff, a nice romantic comedy, but they could have done more research into how teenagers speak... I'm not a teenager but I had to cringe at some of the things they said. Why did Georgia have to refer to "The Valley of..." all the time? Does anyone still talk about "beyond the Valley of Loserville" etc, I don't know, it was like what the writers *thought* young people spoke like rather focusing on what they actually do speak like.

I liked Georgia and her frienRAB, Robbie, hot English Steve Jones (and I totally knew that was coming ;) ) I would recommend it but it's nothing amazing - just good girly fun!

I also found their obsession with snogging kind of naive, but cute. It's not like I expect or want 14 year olRAB to be having sex but I just thought they were a bit silly over kissing when it's not that much of a big deal with most kiRAB anymore.
 
I watched it last week purely because part of it was filmed at my cousins school and she said she was in the background in it (I didn't see her though!). I thought it was ok, very predictable as people have said above but what else can you expect from teenage films!
 
I saw it twice (only because I inadvertently promised to see it with two different people on opposite sides of the country) and thought it was okay for an afternoon out. I've read the books and it can't compare to them, but I managed to detach myself from making any associations between the two, or I may have gone mad!

To anyone who found the film dull or predictable but hasn't read the books, I would recommend them as they really aren't done justice and are far funnier. Georgia does use her own sort of language which she and her frienRAB have adapted, but it's completely different to the film-speak. I was cringing when the actress playing Jas said things like "he has a well-fit bum" and "totally lush".
