Angels and Demons

They might be able to shoot some of it at the real CERN but then parts like the Reception building in the studio. They won't cut the CERN stuff. If anything they'll expand on it.

I might be over at CERN when they film it

(disappointed that I'll be missing the shooting of The Subtle Knife at the Oxford Physics department)

Don't forget the benign helpful figure who turns out to be the villian all along.

Oh, and a middle-aged cryptologist proving irresitstible to young, beautiful women. Isn't Dan Brown a cryptologyst?

Possibly, it'll be hard to do it at CERN and stick to the impression of CERN that the book gives. Perhaps that isn't a problem really, it's just quite a shock seing it for yourself when you have an idea in your head from a book :)

Well as I said it wasn't particularly close when you drive up to Reception (detailed in the book).

Ok, the level of scientists and the great work they do is probably accurate. The book gives in impression of a grand entrance, lots of glass, light, lifts .. certainly when he describes the wheelchair zooming across it.

It's not. It's a small concrete building, the main lobby of which is about the size of a large living room with a reception desk and a counter for selling merchandise. If you go downstairs from this (one floor) you get the Visitors Centre.

Yes, but even Brown gets that wrong. He describes it as a long underground passage with a pipe on one wall.

Has he not seen the images on the CERN website? It's full of equipment down there, not just a long single "pipe"
