i have four quarter sized angelfish in a 20gallon tank. 1 marble,2 veiltail, and then there is one that is mostly silver, it has makings that look like smudges of black and some black that outlines the dorsal and anal fins I am, not sure why but sometimes the angelfish's marking disappear and the reappear it turns completely silver even the fins but then goes back to it's original color...I am pretty sure that it is not a disease because the fish is eating, swimming, and is healthy (i give them brine shrimp and flakes food) sometimes its even aggressive to some of the other angels, but i know that this is common among cichlids.

i think that's normal, my parrotfish cichlids turns red sometimes............then turns back to blue......but i haven't seen my angels change color......

Angel Fish's markings will change due to age, or surrounding things such as water temperature, stress level, ammonia, etc. Check if everything in the water is right for the Angel fish. My Angel fish often completely lost a marking that never came back as it grew older. Don't worry, its not sick.
