Hi,
I had 1 angel fish in my tank, which is about 3 inches from the top fin to the bottom. Today, i introduced two new angel fish, but they are probably about half the size. The guy at the place said it would probably be ok, but if I had any problems bring them back.
Well, since I put the two new ones in the tank, the big one which was there already keeps harassing them into the corner every time they try to come out. I have places for them to hide (two half wrecks, a small bridge, plants etc) but they won't come out from the corner behind the filter pipe.
Now, I'm pretty sure this angel fish which is harassing them has already killed 1 new fish I tried to introduce to the tank a month or so ago, i found it with both it's eyes bitten out and it was fine about 30 mins before death. This angel also has a go at other fish sometimes, but these ones seem to be able to fend it off then it leaves them alone.
Is this just because they are new to the tank, or do you think it will be an ongoing problem? It's only been a few hours but I don't want to risk these fish dying if there's a chance I can get them back to the store where they might end up somewhere they wont be bullied.
Or do you think I should try and find a new owner for the 3 inch angel fish? My friend has 2 already which are probably about 2 inches, but I don't know if I want to give her an aggressive fish., plus i don't know if it's cruel to move a fish from a tank it's settled in?
Thanks, any help is appreciated.
Oh, just to mention. I already tried rearranging the tank, this helped a bit, but they are still up there.
