I just had Ablation on my esophagus as treatment for Barrett's Esophagus. When the Anesthesiologist injected the anesthesia via IV my hand started to burn fast and with extreme pain. The anesthesia was Propofol which I've had several times in the past. This time was extreme and seemed take much longer to put me under. I was telling everyone in the OR that I was in really bad pain and got the old we'll just wait till he goes under then he'll be quiet. I qustioned the Anesthesiologist after I recovered and she just said, "It happens sometimes." My concern is that I have two more Ablations to go through and the thought of that pain scares me,
Anyone ever experience severe pain from the injection site of Propfol?
