I had my wisdom teeth removed yesterday. I was supposed to be under general anesthesia, but was still awake when they began the surgery. I was able to move, talk, everything. I felt every slice of the scalpel, felt them drilling my teeth into bits, felt them digging the pieces out, and then felt them stitching me up. I was screaming and crying and telling them to stop, but they just said I wasn't really feeling anything. Why didn't they stop or trying to put me completely under. By the time the surgery was over, I was used to the pain, but was sobbing uncontrollably from how horrified and traumatized I was. The nurse just laughed it off and said it was just a side effect of the anesthesia. Is this something I should report? I wouldn't want this to ever happen to someone else! Plus, I don't know if this is relevant or not, but I've never heard of a patient under general anesthesia being strapped down to the chair, and they had me tied down.
