Android top 3 platform at Telenav event!

I'm currently attending an event hosted by Telenav - so I walked around and surveyed what devices everyone is using and/or brought with them. Out of around 22 people, 11 of them had an Android-powered device! It tied with the iPhone and lost to BlackBerry by 1!
 
In just over a year since release, Android has penetrated the mobile phone market to an incredible level, despite market saturation of smart phones from Apple and BlackBerry, and Nokia. There are a number of reports out there that indicate that Android will be the most common smart-phone OS within a year or two. It wouldn't surprise me at all.
