Hi I have recently updated the software on my 'Orange' HTC Hero and now get an error mesaage every half hour or so

"Sorry! - The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. please try again. - Force Close

It then disappears after about 10 mins.

Does anybody know what may be causing the isssue and a solution.

Thanks

Might be an app which is overstepping its bounds and causing the OS to crash. Most likely you're just low on memory. Hard to say without knowing everything about your phone.

I agree, check your memory first. I found that one of the biggest memory sucks was the market place cache. That can get pretty big.

The cache is stored on the internal storage, which isn't the same as the free RAM. RAM is mostly used up by applications that are running, and internal storage is used up by downloaded applications. You can fill your internal storage up, for example, and still have 50MB of free RAM if you don't run anything at all, and have no apps that start at startup.
