Android Power Control Widget ??

I have installed the Android Power Control Widget on my home screen. I understand it is meant to consolidate the various control widgets (GPS on/off, Bluetooth, Wireless). But there is a 4th switch, which logically should be the 3G net ON/OFF. But it isn't, and I have no clue what it is meant to do. [It looks like a yin/yang symbol, or two opposing circular arrows.]
Can someone tell me what it is meant to do?Am I wasting my time turning on/off the 3G to try to conserve power?
Thanks ...

which app did you install? the stock power control widget that comes with android doesn't have 3g on/off. it has gps, bluetooth, wifi, brightness, and sync on/off. if you're on verizon, i don't think you can turn off 3g anyway. i know you can't on my droid. besides, you should be updating to 2.1 pretty soon since you own an eris. my gf got her update yesterday.

I have 2.1 installed on my Eris. Prior to that I had 4 separate toggles all of which were supplied by either HTC or Android widgets: 3G, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth.

Now I have toggles for Sync, Bluetooth, WiFi, brightness, and GPS.

I sure wish they had left 3G in this "master switch bank."
