Android phone? Sort of freaking out?

So I have the Motorola Droid and it has always been a great phone. I have a case and a screen protector on it at all times. I took a shower and I had my phone in the bathroom with me. Somehow, I got a few small drops of water on it, so I took a screen cleaner cloth to whip it off. Now, it keeps freaking out every time try to use it. I've been "cleaning" out my phone, getting rid of apps I don't use and stuff, but it kept freaking out when I tried to tap things. I took off my case, and took out the battery because it wouldn't let me turn it off. I turned it back on and it seemed alright. I tried going through my settings and it completely bugged out. It was like if you have someone trying to use your phone when you were using it. So I set it down to see if it would stop, but it kept shaking the options and flying from one screen to the next like someone was selecting things. I freaked out thinking "maybe someone is controlling my phone D:?!" but I have a security program that has been great so far. Any idea on what could be wrong? I've never had a phone do this before!
