i would get the droid eris because the keyboard on the palm pre looks like it's not easy to use and the buttons are small. i haven't actually used it so don't quote me, but that's just what it looks like. plus it doesn't have a virtual keyboard so if you want to type something quick, you have to slide out the keyboard no matter what. i hear the nexus one (also an android phone) is out/coming out soon, and is supposedly really good but i don't know what carrier it's on. so either android phone would probably be better than the pre!
