Recently purchased a Samsung Galaxay S which had the default Android on it.
Yesterday I decided to Upgrade it to 2.3.3 Using Odin considering Kies was not recognising a new update was available.
After Upgrading the Battery life has been horid, Actually changing the battery Stats (Efforts to reset these haven't been succsesful) and the presentation its self look tacky and glitchy.

My Question is, should I just install the original Android 2.2.1 or is there a stable and working 2.3 (gingerbread) update which you could reconmend.

Aka. Which one is the best?

Where abouts are you located?

The official 2.3 Samsung patches have been out for like 2 months even here in Australia.
You can get the official releases from XDA developers.

The problem with the "custom" ones are they often come with an over clocked core (or the buggy wifi) which drains battery like someone put a pick axe threw it.

I updated recently to one with an over clocked Rom and it halved my battery life....as is expected....
