Android on 4g LTE

Not sure if I am posting this in the right spot but here goes. I am now using a BB Tour, which for anything but work, stinks. I will be eligible for an upgrade in May and of course like many of you, am very excited about the new Motorola Bionic. My first choice was the Droid X, but since it is scheduled to go away in March I'm not sure now. I also figured that since I will be using the new phone for at least the next two years, I figured why not get the latest and greatest ie the 4g LTE Bionic. My question is twofold. Firstly, any reasons why the X would trump the Bionic? And my second question, does anyone out there know when Verizon plans to extend their 4g coverage? Right now I live in southern Arizona and I think 4g is limited to Phoenix right now. Thanks in advance! I can't wait to go Droid!!!

Hey, travelinscout! Sorry for the late reply it's sure been crazy as CES wrapped up.

I would definitely recommend the DROID BIONIC over the DROID X any day, especially if you're looking to keep the device for 2 years. You can check out the official DROID BIONIC page here: http://www.motorola.com/Consumers/US-EN/Consumer-Product-and-Services/Mobile-Phones/DROID-BIONIC-US-EN

You can see that it truly is a Superphone. This will last you well into your 2-year agreement.

As far as 4G coverage, Verizon is greatly expanding their 4G network and plans to reach 140 markets by years end with over 2/3 of the US by 2013. If you would like to see which cities 4G is coming to, check out this recent post, here:

Sadly, Arizona is not mentioned to be in the first group of pushed 4G, however, we can hope that it will be included in the next 100 or so markets over the year 2011.

One last question, if the Bionic is available before the 4G network comes to my area, will it work on the current 3G network? Or will this phone ONLY work on the 4G??
