Android is still too fragmented

Hi

I have had several Android devices in the past year and even though its really good with customisations and multitasking the overall performance of the OS is still not as good as Apple's.

The updates come very often, there are too many devices with different specs and no dedicated and a "separate" (i.e. differenciation) apps and/or games for smartphones and tablets unlike Apple's. That is why maybe they see Android is still fragmented on these issues.

The 3.0 OS and Android Market is good but is still miles from Apple. so, that is why i have decided i will buy an iPad 2 on my next salary.

But what can we do about it to match if not better iOS?

i'll go along with that.

i think google should 'come out' a bit more. apple are strong because of their singularity, but where google are concerned i keep seeing "bug report xxxx" & although this probably filters down into the dev, it does seem to be a bit one way.

people like android because they have (had) their favourite brands & can still have them while bagging themselves a decent smartphone to boot. as long as you've picked a long established phone brand, you're ok (imo), less so with a lesser / newer brand.

we need to be reminded that these are google phones & google should be less in the shadows (imo).

as another personal point i think android has surpassed iOS, ok some things on it run better but i'll say again, i think iOS is dumbed down for the retarded. i'm defo NOT saying it should be hard work (i think that was early windows phone, or the bizarrely laid out symbian), just that i find iOS patronising. also, i find the apple ads (uk) extremely sanctimonious & patronising "if you don't have an iphone, well - you don't have an iphone!" - "yes that's right, because i have an android. dumbass"

apple are really playing into the hands of those who jumped onto the apple hate fashion bandwagon with these patronising & sanctimonious adverts (imo).
