Android API in eclipse help?

I need to make a game in the Android API that is a maze with a touch screen and you have to move the ball around by touching and moving it. I have no idea how the Android API work and it would be greatly appreciated if anyone is willing to help. The maze does not have to be complicated, very very basic.
