Android 2.2 text message problem

Is anyone having trouble sending text messages since their Nexus One updated to ver 2.2? I'm on TMobile and since the update I can receive text message fine, but can't send them at all. They just sit there saying "sending.." forever. Spoke to TMobile tech support and they were unable to find any problems on the network side, and when I put my sim in another phone there is no problem. Any help??
 
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try it, but I don't think it will work in this case because I've already tried putting sim cards from other people in the phone and the problem persists--even when the card is on a different network. It seems to be a problem with the phone itself, not the carrier or the card. Strange that I'm the only one who seems to have it. It happens no matter which contact I try to send to, or whether the txt thread is new or old, etc.
 
Fixed it!!! In case anyone else out there is having the same problem, the way I fixed it was by going to the Settings menu from the home screen, then to the Applications menu, then to Manage Applications, then to the Running tab, then to the Messaging app with the icon that Andriod uses for the text function. Then I clicked on the Force Close button. Now it sends text message with no problem. Go figure.
