Android 2.2 Screenshot?

@Simm22 posted this video of Flash running on the Nexus One. While the video was awesome for its Flash demonstration (looks good Steve Jobs), what I liked was the quick look at the home screen at the end of the video. Take a look at the attached screenshot of the video. Looks like it might be a taste of Android 2.2. It has added dedicated buttons for Phone and Browser. While there are MODs that do this, it requires a rooted device (assuming you don't want to use a home replacement app) and believe it or not, some people aren't root (I know, weird). Also, check out the little Android who looks like he wants to help you set up your system (hey, at least it's not a paperclip). Anyway, I thought it was interesting.

Hey guys,

Check this out. I think its froyo confirmed..

It's the same thing I found. It looks like they beat me to it by a about an hour. That sucks because I took the screenshot before that but didn't post it right away. I gotta be faster next time. LOL.

im still not convinced that it was froyo. i think it was cyanogenmod(because of the screen orientation) running some launcher replacement or theme. i hope that it wasnt 2.2 honestly. i like the simplicity of the current nexus one launcher tab.

Yeah hope so. But did you read that article on androidandme.com. They said that the site get hit with the new froyo firmware running phones. And some adobe employees have posted that they are running froyo + flash on their new N1 on twitter.

sites have had froyo hit them for months. and app devs have been saying that froyo has been showing up on their flurry, using apps from the market. i guess ill just wait and see... i think flash is hitting us next week anyways

Yes.. right.. who knows. But any way it is going to be available on 19th or 20th of this month at google IO.. ... and I've got N1.

rabroad: @Wonsanim : BTW isn't it night there ?

hmm i still like adw launcher better lol but that little android paperclip guy seems cool (cant wait for mods like wit the the MSpaperclip "need help writing a suicide note?" was my favorite)
hopefully devs can port flash over to the g1 i dont care what it takes i would love it

I think it may have been a mod or early stage as well. Ironically, maybe a play off on cmod. Like simms said, did anyone notice the orientation? If anything this is probably 2.2 alpha, or 2.1.5, obviously not for the public.

Also, I think that was shown on purpose simply so Google could get some feedback!

well, when he is using the browser, youll notice that the trackball is on the left side. a stock nexus doesnt auto-rotate into that orientation. but a nexus one running cyanogenmod, or other custom firmware that support it, does.

ohhkay.. Got ya. I didn't know that coz I don't know what are the basic difference between a rooted and non-rooted N1. BTW thanks for the information.
