Android 2.1 coming to Verizon's DROID Eris

There's been rumors going around that the Droid Eris will soon get the Android 2.1 update for Verizon but nothing official until now. According to Verizon's support page, the DROID Eris may be getting the update after all. Although the support page doesn't come out and say it's the Android 2.1 update, after a little research on the details on their changelog, it does seem like it is the Android 2.1.

There has been no date mention to when this update may take place but it's assumed that this update may just happen before or in June.
