Hi there,

has anybody experiences with Android based phones used with built-in bluetooth handsfree in Volkswagen cars?
I have a WM based phone, it connects to my car, the phonebook is synced to the car handsfree - i'd like to have it like this with my upcoming Android phone... But I have no idea whether it will work or not.

Thanks in advance!

Ggrant3876, thanks for your quick answer!

Unfortunately I have a very bad experience with WM phones, had several of them (iPaq 614, HTC Diamond, TouchPro, TouchHD), and although all of them were based on WM6, there were issues - one device didn't sync the phonebook, other didn't sync the call register etc. I have enough of issues, I just want a working phone in my car :-)

The three android phones I listed all synced the phonebook. The only problem was the Nexus One the car gave me a 6 digit code and the N1 only wanted a 4 digit code, got it sorted out though. The G1 had android 1.6, Samsung had 1.5 and the N1 has 2.1.

My Dad has a Volkswagan Passat, brand new, and it's supposed to have BT. However, we couldn't get his G1 to detect it at all.

Maybe the car doesn't actually have BT, but it has the button for it, and it's mentioned in the manual.
