And so I say good-bye to N93....

It has wowwed many with it's twisting screen, some even thought it was my home cordless phone. I thought I would keep it, but sadly I will be buying that phone that I'm not going to mention , so it doesn't become another you-know-what thread.

I even thought about keeping it as a collector's item for the unique design, but sadly it has to go, very soon, I'm talking about my N93. It's new owner will pick it up soon...

What are you doing with your N93, now that that phone that I won't mention has arrived?

I'm kinda sad that mine is leaving

While the n80 can't hold a candle to the n93, I am still on the fence about letting it go for any other phone...it just works so well for me. I thought you would be one of the n93 faithful for some time to come? How in the heck did you bring yourself to do it?

The N95 and E61i are calling me...

Isn't that called the N93i??? Just kidding. But I do wonder if the N93 will have a successor or is the N95 the successor? I do think big clamshells were the trademark of N9x series, but now with a smaller package of N95 and more updated design in terms of smaller weight/dimension and bigger screen size is probably the more commercial of the two designs and by that I mean it will appeal to a wider crowd....Just my opinion.

For me the size isn't as much of an issue as the weight of it is. It shouldn't be hard for them to release a lighter successor within 6 months even with better specs.

I was about to skip the N95, but in the end I just couldn't do it.
It's a nice phone and I was looking for something more compact for quick snaps when I don't have my canon with me.
But I'm also wondering what the successor to the N93/n93i will bring.

I still think there is room for bigger phones like N93, especialy since a design leaked from Nokia with a slide/twisting qwerty keyboard, that seems to return back to a normal phone keyboard, this would fit the profile of the N93 in the first generation. Later on they could squeeze e it in the compact shape of the N95. Don't forget the N95 has no optical zoom and I do see the market of a bigger phone with optical zoom.

btw the N95 is spiritual successor to N80,
for the n93 it's: N90 >N93,N93i > N97?

Wow, Blue, didnt expect you to do that, esp. since were one of the early adapters of N93... and youre the one always posting about it.

That said, Im still using my N93, checked N95 at the 2nd Nokia Service Center/store in my area, and it didnt really wowed me that much. That and the fact that I just cant get rid of a phone I bought 6 months ago to trade it with a new one. Cuz I know it will soon become a habit of being addicted to the "I-must-have-the-latest" syndrome... Im already tied up to MANY other interests I have.

As of how is my N93... works great as usual. Just 2 minor, very tiny paint loss, plus I bought a replacement for my broken camera lens cover at the Nokia store for 25 pesos... thats 50 cents.
