Again I ask ( not expecting a sensible answer) what made ScT "king"?

Please do not say speed because as soon as it moves beyond the download capability of the person at the center of the bell it's increasingly redundant .
Or that ridiculous pretime bollocks for that matter .
Or content because they weren't first or even second in that regard.
Or the community because good or bad - lie if you want, but few of you were there for that .

I think you proclaim it king because since you were a part of it it massages your egos to name it so.

Btw ( qualifying my statement as usual ) this is not an attack on ScT which was obviously a very fine tracker which many people would rightly consider the best they ever belonged to , rather I'm ranting because sometimes I have a hard time stomaching how insipid some individuals viewpoints seem to be .
 
Well, if any site is going to 'absorb' all those members with all that speed and be able to handle it, I would have to say SCC, but wouldn't say it makes them 'king' but tis nice to have that kinda speed available when you don't feel like waiting. I have most deff noticed an increase in their swarm sizes...;)
 
I'd say SCC. It will be swarmed with ex-ScT members now, equaling more peers, faster speeds - and the same "ease" of seeding.

+1 - kinda pointless this thread except for the pre-egos.
 
I agree with IdolEyes - not sure what this King malarkey is but I guess this thread is to comfort egos. I can say on personal experience with most of the trackers mentioned here that TL is the easiest to get in, seed on and gets a wide array of content quickly (pre-times are baloney - 6 mins vs 16 is no difference unless you're a racer or uploader on several sites and use these as your source). That said the DCMA notices one can get make using them an issue!

For me the best part of ScT were the competitions eg LoGD, cake baking etc but other sites do these kind of things too. The free packs were good but other sites have 'em like S*C F*N TB etc. Retention was poor on many though esp on DVDs and it was hard to seed on w/o a box (much like S*C) which is why the 3, 5 and 7-day rules came in - to help the poor retention even on the free packs.

There is no king, but it was a good old tracker. Losing it might be a major issue to the folks who used it as their sole tracker, but a combination of 1-3 trackers fills the void (if you have a void) if you know where to look.

If it was a TL-exclusive release, then they should have respected the uploader's wishes.
