Anchovies at Ranch 99

Sprinkles!!!

New member
Good Sunday,
Have any tried the frozen anchovies at Ranch 99? If so, how were they? How
salty were they, and how did they compare to the anchovies we get in
containers. They're from somewhere in Asia, and they appear unsalted.
TIA,
Kent

How salty do you think an unsalted fish would be? Do you really think
fresh anchovies would taste anything like canned anchovies?

Try using common or when that fails, Google.

What did the package say? There must be 100 different kinds/brands of
frozen fish at 99 Ranch. And how many of those forzen fish do you
think have been brined? Swimming around live in saltwater doesn't
count.

Please also note the correct spelling of 99 Ranch, which I've
corrected you on before. This is what I meant earlier about your
desire to stay ignorant.

It was NEVER Ranch 99, dumbass. A bunch of occidental inbreds such as
yourself just used to spell it that way since it seemed more logical
in their ignorant world.

I thought you were trying to fix your ignorance? You just said that
this morning and here you are being pigheaded already again.

ObFood: Why have bone-in pork loion roast gone out of style? They
need to come back. These boneless loin roasts suck when compared to
the real thing.

That's the logic of Marty Sauck. "Everybody knows what I mean, so spelling
and grammar doesn't (sic) matter."

You, as an ex-school teacher should remember that things like that matter.

Or are you just agreeing with someone who doesn't agree with -sw?

You should just take him out of your kill-file. You hang onto his every
word when someone else quotes him.

They're nothing like the anchovies we're used to. They're not filleted,

Asian market fish is so different

That's all these little kiddies can do is snip and snipe.

I'm considering incorporating all these anti-sw sentiments into a
global energy company and calling it "Swenron".

Thank you. That's basically what I would have said, too. they are
probably not even anchovies.

I do have a way with words. Oddly enough, I accidentally sent the post

You were going to say they were probably even anchovies. So I
finished your sentence for you.

Even if they are anchovies, they are not going to be anything like
Portuguese/Spanish anchovies.

Fresh anchovies seem to be pretty worthless fish - hopefully they're
really cheap. The fish at those Asian stores are kind of scary and weird
and you wonder what body of water they were caught. Thanks for finishing
my sentence, I find that it sometimes

Fresh anchovies are my favorite Mediterranean fish, hands down. I find it
incredible that people who have never had the opportiunity to even taste
something can declare it useless! Besides being delicious, it is one of the
healthiest fish, too. It's one of the pesci azzuri, high in Omega 3.
