Anchorman

Saw the trailer also. Defo looks funny. Looks like a similar film to Dodgeball - which i have seen two trailers for (theater version - hilarious comedy, TV version - fairly funny).

I saw the trailer as well and it looks really good. I am looking forward to Archorman more than Dodgeball even though I thought that was the funniest film of the year so far but I have loved every will ferrel film even his cameo in Starsky and Hutch so far!
I cant wait for the 10th to watch it!

It's very very funny!

I've seen it twice now and bizarelly after seeing the trailers again it seems that most of the gags in the trailer arent in the film! Could be that the British version is different?

Anyway, if you are a fan of Will Ferrel then I definately recommend it. The highlight has to be the "Gangs Of New York" style fight between all the rival news teams....!

The trailer's ace, and indeed virtually none of its in the film. The bit with the bullet, the 'King Of Australia' bit, Will Ferrell hitch-hiking with a beard, none of its there. The above poster is right: theres about unused 90 minutes that'll be edited into a 'sequel' for the DVD.

It's still OK though, although its very, very American in places.

I was disappointed by it, there are some very funny scenes but the last 30 mins it tailed off and I was getting bored towarRAB the finish. The adult jokes apart , it felt more like a kiRAB movie to me.

saw the preview on wed, i liked the film but i dont think i would have payed money to see it. Some of the jokes are hard to get if you arent from the states and the rest are hit or miss but in places it did make me laugh outloud. The outakes at the end are pretty amusing plus there are some great cameos.

The funniest lines for me were 'I'm in a glass case of emotion!'
and 'Great Odin's raven!'
Apparently they are going to release a dvd of extra footage including sub plots and deleated scenes

if someone asked me what film to see out of anchorman or dodgeball, i would probably say go see dodgeball as the film seems to work better on the whole. However anchorman does have some good improvisation from the main actors plus ferrell gives a great performance.

The Region 1 DVD release of Anchorman has been annouced with 3 versions of the film available on the 28th of December. Firstly, the theatrical cut of the film will be available, then there will be an extended edition of the film, which will introduce around ten minutes of additional footage. Finally a giftset will also be available. This will include the extended edition of the film, along with another feature length film entitled Wake Up Ron Burgundy. A Ron Burgundy's Month to View Journal will also be included with the giftset.
I cant wait to get the giftset of Anchorman especially with the extra feature length film!

I've seen it now and I thought it was pretty hit and miss. Had a few funny scenes but not really as funny as Dodgeball on he whole.Hopefully the extended version will make it a classic :D
