BY JUAN DELGADO.? Her Household:1
Switching on the light in the garage,
She heard a rat run from beam to beam
But she only saw its tail disappear.
She stood holding a basket of dirty clothes
If she got a broom, she could not face it,
If she got poison, she would worry about her kids,
If she set a few traps and caught it,
she would be the one to find it
Gutted, blood-dried, eyes dar as tacks
Quickly throwing the clothes in the washer,
she ran with the basket over her head,
seeing her breath race in front of her
she wondered if winter would make it discreet
she wondered if spring would bring it birth
