An interesting Earth Science topic and/or an interesting way to present it?

I need something really creative...the only problem is I can't think of anything. An example of a good one would be Navy sonar interfering with whale sonar...or something. That was a previous students topic. And please don't say the usuals like alternative energy. Hundreds of students have come before me doing this Earth Science project so there's only so much Earth Science in existence. And I think most if not all of it has been done.
