An insurance plug

I get a kick out of all these low rate quotes that include absolutely no coverage information. I have a Progressive policy that costs me $1,117.06 per year for a 2010 FLHTCU. I live in South Florida where an Uninsured Motorist policy is a must. I was hit back in 2007 by a young man who had no insurance. I was out of work for 2 months. I collected zip! My premium would be half of what it is now if I didn't have to buy insurance for the other guy.

DJK, you are right on the spot! Half my premium is for Uninsured/Underinsured! Down here you would be nuts not to have it. Its NOT required by law but one would be taking a huge personal risk to not carry the protection. Our latest to make the local news had 14 (!) DUIs. Why New Mexico doesnt lock them up is beyond me!
 
I won't do business with them, ever, even if it's free. I had to work through a claim against one of their insured drivers and they played every shade of hardball to deny fair payments right to the end. The victim was my young daughter. I've been involved in several PI claims over the years and have never encountered these kinds of tactics. Scr*w them and the horse they rode in on!
 
I had Progressive, on my 05 EGC when I bought the 09 EGC they wanted to raise my rate $40. No tickets or accidents in 5 years + switched to Gieco, its was a little cheaper, not a lot
 
progressive has been great to me. got my renewal the other day...included a price reduction even though i had a claim this year. on top of that, there was another $30 discount if i paid for the whole year at one time.
 
I was away on business when I got the email notification. When I got home and opened the claim renewal I saw the same $30.00 additional savings. On another note although Flo may have a few extra pounds she is still hot in my book with that cute girl next door look.
