One of the Dramatic techniques that Priestley uses in Act 1 is when Mr Birling was making confident predictions about there not being a war and about the sailing of The Titanic saying that it would never sink.The audience who are watching have already experienced the war and they know that the Titanic has sunk.This shows the audience that Mr Birling is hardheaded and full of himself.

can someone tell me where I can add quotes please?
My teacher told me to add more quotes on that paragraph :S
