i'm sick of people who actually GO the speed limit... i mean, wtf... all it is is a number painted on a sign... just cause 93.1239% of the people agree that that's how fast you go, doesn't mean the rest of us should... today i was driving... going about 120 km/h (too lazy to convert to miles, so suffer)... in a 70 zone... and there was a guy going 90... i mean, what the fuck, man... your car can go faster than that... so why don't you?

so, here's my idea... everybody has to go at least 120 (unless it's a residential zone, of course) :tongue: , no matter what the speed limit is... the cops can't catch all of us, and if we do that, they'll be forced to increase the speed limit... i hate speed limits... especially if i'm in a hurry and there's a big, fat truck with a fat, ugly driver in front of me... or beside me... or anywhere close to me.

honestly, speed makes a huge difference. from 70kph to 120kph, you're talking about a 70% speed increase. that's a 280% increase in stopping distance, combined with a 70% difference in how far you go before you react in a panic-braking situation.

depending on the road, i do drive 120kph (around 75 mph) frequently. our interstate freeways run 85 (138kph) around where i live any time the traffic is clear, but the posted limit is 60 (around 100kph). in my red car, which i spent $20,000 of inheritence race-prepping, i go around 130mph when i'm the only car on the road. it's still a quarter as safe as it would be to go half as fast.

Here's another idea. For those of you who haven't lost a family member in a car accident due to speeding, think about this: why the fuck do you have to drive so fast? It's rated a maximum speed for a reason. A lot of highways are 100+ because they are built in such a way to allow for faster driving. But that's not the case on smaller roads, even non-residential ones. It's not that important if you take 5 or 10 minutes longer to get somewhere.

Whenever I'm going the speed limit and I see some idiot passing me, I can only think of one thing: why didn't this fucker die instead of my brother. My only hope is that Darwinism kicks in and the driver's obvious stupidity leads to being naturally selected the fuck out of the gene pool.

problem is: america has the most car accedents regardless of speed limits. fuck germany barely has speed limits, they dont have near as much accedents....i think this unforgiven guy has a point that the faster we go...the less time there is for accedents right? haha....course germany and all them dont get their liscence untill like...18, so we got two more years of killin :rolleyes:
 
Well, a lot of ppl in Germany don't even have a car. So that helps, and between the gas costs and the cost of getting ur liscence over there, it's not worth it money wise. Our forigne exchange student from Germany got her liscence here cuz it's like 1/10 the cost.

And as far as the speed limit. I go 5 miles over and that's it. Not worth the tickets and not worth the danger. Although I do hate getting stuck behind a slow poke with no way to get around or like on the freeway, u have only a mile to ur exit. Grrr. GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY!!! :steering: :scream:
 
You're living in the wrong state.

I think Idaho or some state around there has unlimited speed limits on the Interstates.

Does anyone know which state.??
