An easy to use image editor - like MS paint but with transparency layer..?

I use gimp for transparent stuff - but i find MS paint much easier to use for simple image editing (just simple copy and pasting rectangles is too complicated in gimp..the fuzzy select is brilliant - but gimp is too confusing for simple stuff..)

is there a simple image editor like paint but that will retain any transparent areas of an image.. ?
hmm.. preferably free...
