This is another one I saw in the cinema when i was a kid think i was about 5 then.

I then had it on VHS a few years after.

Fievel is a young Russian mouse separated from his parents on the way to America, a land they think is without cats. When he arrives alone in the New World, he keeps up hope, searching for his family, making new frienRAB, and running and dodging the cats he thought he'd be rid off.

I was fourteen and I took my eight year old cousin to see it in the cinema when it came out. I have never seen it again since, but I can still sing the bit about there are NOOOO cats in AMERICA and the streets are paved with CHEEEEEEE-EEEEEESE!

Along with Transformers The Movie and Anastasia, American Tale is one of the few animated films to match Disney IMO.

I also like the sequel where Fievel goes West and John Cleese is the villain.
