Yes, this is another 'was it fake or real?!' question. Personally, I think there was supposed to be a trap door under there that McMahon didn't get out from in time-hence the freaking out. Too many people broke character.
At the same time, I don't believe he's necessarily hurt. Stunned, perhaps, but I think any injuries are probably fairly superficial or from the shock.
So, I'm 100% convinced it's a stunt that was supposed to happen, but went wrong quite a bit. Cameras mean nothing, by the way. They followed Melina all the way out-she was seriously injured. They followed the very angry Randy Orton all the way out last PPV and you could see where he'd broken himself all up. Unless the person's dead or dying, they'll follow them all over the place.
WQ: Those of you that believe it's real-what sold you on it? Those of you that believe it's not real, just a storyline, everything went off without a hitch-what sold you on that?
And for the record, I'll answer my own question in here, too:
What finally sold me on it was Edge. If you watch him, he can't tell if he should break character or not. He's all freaked out and offset. The fact that the ref was down there, too, definately helped sell it for me. And people are saying there were quite a few guys that -ran- out of the back (people who knew they wouldn't get in job-trouble if they broke kayfabe) to help.
As well-I'm well aware that the whole bit was supposed to end the million dollar 'mania' thing. I still contest something did, indeed, go wrong, though.
