Amp wattage how to make it work important help / is this a good setup for a starter?

OK so what i am wondering is how can i set up an amp to a sub like say i get a 800 watt on 2 Channels what the hell does that mean like will it work on 2 10" subs at 1200 watts or ;\if works will it Sound like crap i just need to know the way to make it work. tell me if all this would work together with a factory head unit or do i need a new one

k dont look at watts on subs it means NOTHING look at RMS thats the power and by looking at your selections i would never get anything car audio wise from walmart even for a beginner, znd you can keep your stock head unit
