Ok so I have a 1000watt Nitro (I know its only temporary...) made amp. Currently that amp is only running one Kicker Solo Baric 10" L5 which is 500 rms. On my deck volume of about 13-15 is medium loud but not head cracking like I want the solo baric to be... Once I start to head from 16-20 for volume which is where I'd like to be at the amp goes into protect mode after playing for a few seconds. If theres a coninuous bass note itll play for a few seconds then suddenly go into protect mode even with out changing bass notes. I have a good ground to the chasis. Any ideas for what I could do?
The only thing I can think of at this point is the deck may be caausing problems. This amp and sub used to be connected to a different deck in a different car with no problems ever. Once it was moved into my car first fueses started blowing when the amp was connected to a Stage 2 Punch 10" sub which is 250 rms. Now that the levels are changed to have the solo baric tuned the amp is going into protect mode randomly.
