Amityville II: The Possession...I like it

Watched the film earlier as I knew there was going to be a documentary on FiveUSA tonight about the 'real' events of the house.
I forgot how much this film creeps me out! I know its old but its still quite creepy, and I do remember not being able to sleep the first time I saw this thinking I was going to be shot in the head while i slept, lets hope I dont have a repeat.
I actually prefer this to the first film, even if it is a bit Exorcist Vs. Poltergeist.
Anyone else like this? or am I alone?

I liked it. Trully disturbing.

Incest, child murder.

The father was a true, bastard.

good film, but not great 7/10 for weirdness.
 
Prefer it to the original as at least it's remotely about the true events according to the son, the possession scene is quite scary.

The voices still freaks me out.

The incest scene was interesting..
 
Haven't watched Amityville 2 for a while now but I also liked it.

It's one of those few films that I totally refuse to watch on my own, it scares the shit out of me, yet I'm somewhat reluctant to admit it since it is a bit of a naff film. But there is something particularly creepy about it.

I think they got a pretty decent budget for this film when they made it and the effects hold up well even by today's standarRAB.

That bit when the ghost paints a monster on the wall is totally creepy :cry::cry::cry:.
 
I remember the first time I saw it at my frienRAB house and we had left a window open and it blew one of the doors and made a bang, needless to say we shat bricks.
Also if you watch it with good surround speakers the noises are amazingly creepy.
I wish I hadn't have watched it yesterday, would have been a good halloween one.

I first saw it when I was about 10. My aunt had the video, I played up to watch it, so she put it on for me to watch and left me to it - so I ended up watching it on my own and it absolutely terrified me. I don't think I've ever been so scared. :D

Just looked at a few reviews for it and people generally have fond memories of it.

Think I'll give it a Halloween viewing. :D
 
I think so, at the end - he turns into some sort of demon thingy.
Another creepy scene, when he's back at the house (before the transformation scene) and he's hiding on the ceiling of one of the rooms.

Now when man in a silly rubber mask comes flying through the air I should be PMSL but it just scares the bejezus out of me. :o
 
I more or less agree with you guys on this one.

It's not a great movie (actually it's bad and quite repulsive) but as a horror movie,it's definitely not without interest.If I remember correctly,the first half is actually quite disturbing but then it goes overboard,becoming a complete ripoff of The Exorcist.It was made by an Italian director,and it shows.

The opening is very creepy,with that haunting Amityville theme music and nice shot of the infamous house.

Shame the characters were all unlikable,and the actress who played the mother couldn't act.
 
Agree with the majority on here, did not like the incest.

Nevertheless, when i first saw it I was really young and found it very scary, decent horror movie :o
