Personally, I feel letting another.. uh.. mediocre singer win was a total joke- he has "soul"?
Michael Grimm is totally emotionless and hardly connects with the audience. He isn't even attractive, or have any star quality about him.
Jackie was great, as usual, so having her won would have been silly as well- just because her future is already planned out for her. She announced she was playing at a high profile theater soon after AGT anyways, she's famous as is. Someone else needed the chance.
Poppycock was excellent- though a bit frightening perhaps to some children- he was extremely talented and flashy. I loved his confidence and alternate personality. His over of Bohemian Rhapsody was amazing. Near as great as the original. He is better suited for Broadway, however.
Finally, Fighting Gravity.
They are a great group of people.
Their act astounded me when I first saw it.
After some research, I see it's been done before- some people had complained about that.
But the thing is, it was so popular because it was never done before in North America. That
is what made it unique. I found their act stress relieving. I actually watched it to calm down sometimes.
I feel all acts will be huge. All of the talent this year was great and original.. besides Grimm. I mean, I've seen that before. Any musician with a sob story just has to win, right?
That being said,
I feel Jackie is already famous- and has a lot more publicity thanks to AGT- she will only grow bigger. She will be stunning even when she grows up if she does not harm her throat.
Fighting Gravity will put on a lot of shows. They made a name for themselves, and will do enough shows to be set for the rest of their lives.
I feel Poppycock should have won. He was a talent singer, and actor. He was gorgeous and had a great spark to him. He was upbeat, and love-able even by people who may be homophobes. (My brother LOVED him, lol.)
I'll definitely be attending the AGT Tour to see my favorites!
How do you feel about the outcome?
