Im a former marine got out last year... I was in Iraq four tours and a tour in south korea it really grinds my gears to hear my fellow conservatives arguing and butthurt about meaningless things... You really dont know how good you have it here... Yet you want the government employees to suffer it makes no sense... The government is the ones protecting our stupid butts you should stop complaining about stupid useless crap and be thankful

Liberalism, special "rights" handed out like candy, and dependence on government in every aspect of life has turned a once great country into a nation of whiners. Enough said.

Cough cough .. Excuse me.... My husband is a RET VN VET( but I forgot nobody gives a shite about them) Today's Vet is in the limelight and gets labeled hero which is BS) and I have served my country as all five of my children have..... thank ya very much... I support my troops but as far as govt employees go.. depends on what they do.... Congress and senate should NOT get paid if it shuts down plain and simple.. govt isn't protecting anyone but themselves and that's a fact... You have not seen anyone of them suffering through all the turmoil this country has and is going through... NO Obama has taken so many vacations when we have problems going on its pathetic ( while the Average American cant even afford one) and yet he has the balls to tell us to live within our means... Well I think Obama and all of Congress and senate need to lead by EXAMPLE!

I respect your service, you've given much where most haven't. We are the government, so making government employees suffer would be to make ourselves suffer. We (and by that I mean our government) have overspent beyond what our economy in terms of tax revenue can support, and that must be brought in balance. But it is about sacrifice, you've done it, I won't go into it but I've done it, the private sector has done it, public unions and employees need to as well. We are a great country because we govern ourselves, and are free to differ in the process of finding better solutions for all. Where and how that sacrifice is distributed is and should be up for open discussion, but must be done fast as no one has bothered to address seriously until now...for fear of not getting re-elected.

Yes, things are much worse all over the world, but we are American, and we set and live by our own standards because we are free (because people like yourself) have stood up to keep it that way. Wanting and expecting more is what fuels our country's success, and what sets us apart from other nations.

I have no problem supporting you, if you are defending this country. I don't like borrowing money from China to support Libyan rebels or welfare addicts.

I don't believe to have your facts correct, they are not talking about the military, its the public servants jobs they were talking about. You can't pay people 30 to 40 percent above the people that you are collecting it from. I don't believe you are a marine, a marine would not whine this much, they get to the point, if you are, where were you trained, I would like some people fired there for their poor job performance.
