Americans are obsessed with sex?

I am an indian girl,I have never been to america.For higher studies I wish to go there.But their culture, lifestyle,their obsession with sex(as shown in tv and films) kind of freaks me out.I am a simple soft spoken very Indian girl,so it kind of scares me.Will I have a hard time there???.Plz reply
