The 4th one doesn't even have the original cast, just Jim's dad and Stifflers brother. God knows who would be in the 5th one, all new characters probably.

1-3 were good, they were funny, had some good laughs, and at the center of it there was real heart.

4 was a lot better than I thought it would be (I really thought it would be utter and complete sh*te) but it was nowhere near as good as any of the ones that preceeded it.

Absolutely no need for a 5th. Unless they can come up with a story that reunites all of the original cast, or at least all that was left of it in the 3rd one.

The first AP film was overrated, although the second was fun to watch. I think they should leave the AP series as it is, however I wont be surprised if American Pie 5 is made.

Ive only seen the first and for me it ranks alongside Godzilla as the worst film I have ever seen in my life!!!
Made the dreadfull Ali G film look like a work of genius.

I doubt it.

The fourth one (as someone mentioned, which went straight to DVD recently) failed miserably to resurrect the franchise - it was even in the 'bargain bin' for most of the post Christmas sales from what I could see and didn't exactly set the rental charts alight!

I think NO would be a fair assumption of an answer.

And before anyone says it, the original cast are 'too old' now so I don't think they's even think about bringing them back for one second!

Should have left it alone as a trilogy (which they squeezed every last drop of a joke out of anyway in my opinion).

american pie - good film, good characters, some good good laughs 9/10
american pie 2 - average film, quite funny, decent story 7/10
american pie 3 - one or 2 laughs, not very good film 5.5/10
american pie 4 - not seen it as it has none of the original cast that i liked i.e Stifler, Jim, Oz, Vicky, Nadia. Story seems very pradictable.

and as for american pie 5, unless its a like a film thats based on the original bunch of characters now, seeing what they're doing with their lives etc then it will fail.

and i was 15 when i saw the first film so i think i may have outgrown the teen film thing, well maybe
