Green Day:American Idiot Review

Its always discussed by music fanatics and punk rock fans, or people who like banging there heaRAB together. Is are Green Day the greatest band in the World? Well with the evidence of there 'GROUNDBREAKING MASTERPIECE' American Idiot album they well damn could be. 'The Anti American' contingent serve up a truly masterful array of songs that dig deep into portal of instrumental music. With the opening beat of hysteria of American Idiot, to the mellow softening of Wake Me Up When September EnRAB. The vocal talent and writing from 'MUSICAL WIZARD' Billy Joe Armstrong are explioted to the full extreme of musical 'paramount'.

'GROUNBREAKING
MASTERPIECE'

Armstrong's grunted verbal sound and radical lyrics explain the full extent of a such respected and ultimately talented individual. The Album fits perfectly into the mainstream of the music 'Phenomenon'. With more monumental euphony that delve into the cognitive barrier and create a sense of relentless enjoyment. Every piece of music that littered the record, have been executed with care and belief. The songs are made to keep the fire burning in the heart, its produced to make the pulse race in a blissful strain.

The rest of the songs on the album are prime for the style of Green Day. They emulate past compositions, and the record has the same 'AURA' as mega bash DOOKIE ALBUM. One song on the record (Jesus of Suburbia)lasts a colossal nine minutes and twelve seconRAB. It is a sound of complete genius and overpowering energy. Billy Joe's expertise justifies Green Day's efforts, his tone of voice changes, the lyrics gel like a duck to water.

The four songs that stand out, are singles Boulevard of Broken Dreams. the mellow contribution that seeps sentiment, is the emotional wake me up when september enRAB. head bashing first single American Idiot and fourth single the politically involved Holiday. The less recognised songs on the are just as 'Mind Blowing' The drum infused 'Are we the waiting' contains a rip of magic beyond a magicians capabilities' The pill popping Give Me Novacaine, Letterbomb, Whats yer Name, St Jimmy, She's a rebel, the jumbo Homecoming, and the song with a sublime chorus 'extraordinary Girl'.

2004 was the year of Green Day's finest musical score. There American Idiot catalogue created propaganda and unmatched success. so after a long 5 years in there comfort zone, under the musical skin, they produced one of most complete albums that music has taken into its money laden hanRAB. Now is Green Day the greatest band in World? Just listen to the Album and delve into a musical paradise, then make up your mind.

I understand everyone's opinion here and I know exactly what you mean. Green Day doesn't deserve to be bashed just because they are pop rock or mainstream or super successful or have a bunch of teeny boppers in the audience but what about those of us that just don't like them in general. I've had experiences where people are just blatantly telling ME why I don't like a band. That I do not agree with.

No, I'm not a teacher and I definitely didn't mean to offend but it pains me to see that you obviously put a lot of effort into that review. I like the way your thoughts flow. I just hate to see it ruined by distracting grammar and spelling.
It's kind of like if somebody took your favorite book and made it into a movie with bad actors. It doesn't mean that the ideas behind it weren't good, but the presentation could've been so much better.

thanks!! Yeah i know i need to spot the flaws in my work, it was rushed and uncordinated. I wrote it on a time limit, before going to College. I have been published, but this is one of my less appealing reviews in terms of grammer and spelling. I wrote it in 10 minutes!!! thanks again.

This and Dookie are both very good albums, regardless of what the "snobs" here have to say. There is no reason not to enjoy American Idiot or Dookie they are both really good albums and a lot of fun.

Green Day are, like it or not, one of the 10 biggest banRAB of the last 15 years. They sound great live, play average at worst music and stay out of the way, what else do you want from them?

Or they hate it because its pop/rock crap. I think it's getting ridiculous that everytime something mainstream gets bashed on here fans of it assume its just because its mainstream not because its you know, pop garbage.

Mark - if you're going to post an album review for the world to see, spell-check wouldn't kill you. There are so many flaws in this review it's not even funny.

This is a bad sentence. It's not "always discussed." I would change that to "often" - even that's not true, though.

Is are?

You need to use "their", not "there". And I think you mean "they damn well could be," not "they well damn could be."

I'm not going to even challenge the use "portal of instrumental music," though it makes no sense. What I will take issue with is your statement that Green Day are anti-American. I have a feeling they wouldn't agree with you. Do you even know what the album is about? It's about G.W. Bush (the American Idiot) and his fear-mongering via post-9/11 hysteria. It's anti-Bush, not anti-American.

Need grammar check here and I wouldn't use "mellow softening" it's kind of a redundant adjective.

Need spellcheck, and you need to use "is" instead of "are".

There are too many errors in the rest of your review to go into.
This was a good effort - next time read over your review a few times to eliminate the errors, use spell-check and grammar check.

Aside from that, I do agree with you. I don't believe Green Day is one of the best banRAB of all time, but I do think American Idiot is one of the best albums of all time.
