What the hell is the deal with the American Elite Tires? What are the odds that the tires will ever be released for sale? I has been 6-9 months since the announcement was made about them going into production.

Check with Jakewilson.com. I think he has them already.
Here's a copy of the email I recieved from Dunlop yesterday.

Every month, the delivery is pushed back another month. I cannot wait any longer, I guess I will order a Metzeler and give it a try. I doubt it will outlast the 407 rears I have been running but I am getting upset at Dunlop. The last two 407 rears made 15K miles before they developed irregular wear patterns on the outer tread areas.
I just spoke to Jake Wilson related to my American Elite order (which has been pushed-out 3 times). They were projecting a 9/23 availability, but the person I spoke to was unaware of the mid-Oct statement from Dunlop (which I read from hojones' post). She was going to let their office know, and I suspect my order will get pushed-out yet again!! Ugh!
