American Dad unaired/missing production codes (5AJN## only)

Due to 'Sons of Tucson' (pronounced Two-son not Tuck-son) rearing its ugly head and knocking AD off the schedule for 6 weeks:mad: it has messed up the schedule (why didnt they move AD to 7:30/6:30c since FOX is doing that this up-coming mid-season anyway:sweat::confused:).
The missing/unaired Production Codes are as follows:

5AJN05
5AJN07
5AJN09 (will probably air in November since it's on the Season 6 list)
5AJN13
5AJN15
5AJN16
5AJN18

And they've nearly finished all the 6AJN## episodes and are going to start on the 7AJN## episodes shortly does this mean we'll get a slightly longer season because of this.
 
Nope, we'll still only get a 22 episode season. The season 7 episodes that don't air this season will be held over for next season, put several season 8 episodes into season 9.

Fox is notorious for holding over episodes of it's animated shows. Look at the Simpsons, who have been airing held over episodes from the previous season for several years now.
 
I always thought that it was because, for several years, Fox held off the season premieres of all of it's animated shows until early November, which resulted in a backlog.
 
Well, the Writer's Strike a few years back might also be a factor in this (it's the reason why Family Guy's production numbers are one behind the actual season number and probably why the Simpsons' numbers were/are all messed up).

But yeah, this is odd...
 
That was 3 years ago and The Simpsons number have been behind for many a moon:confused::shrug: and there was nothing wrong with AD and the reason for FG was to be in sync with The Cleveland Show. (Silly move there)
 
For The Simpsons, it's been happening as far back as at least the fourth season; Kamp Krusty and A Streetcar Named Marge were holdovers from the third season. And Cape Feare was produced as part of the fourth season, but it was held-over until season five.
 
Don't expect 5AJN05, 5AJN07, 5AJN09 and maybe 5AJN13 to air until 2011 since hayley and jeff wont reappear until the christmas special (5AJN22) and it's uncertain if they will return in the 6AJN## episodes.:shrug::sad:
