American Dad - "Phantom of the Telethon" - Talkback [11/30]

Fan-freaking-tastic. On paper it sounds like a somewhat typical AD plot, but the execution was fresh and fun and hilarious. It was a half hour jam-packed with punchy gags, well-constructed plot twists, and quick, sharp, multi-faceted political satire.

With all the character cameos and the "different" feel of the show, this would've made a great season finale. I just hope there's something even better in store when that time comes.

I like how they made fun of the "Stan learns a lesson" trope near the end ("Lying is Wrong!") and made funnier by having him say he's NOT going to confess, leading Roger to beat him up.

Pretty good episode. I liked it.

It's obvious they didn't even watch that show! Veronica ruled! Shut your face, Roger!

But other than that, this episode saved my Sunday night from total mediocrity. A fresh, offbeat premise, cameos by every single AD character to date, Roger as a ridiculous inept Phantom, the "moral" endorsing torture....I loved it all.

Another great episode for American Dad's 4th season! So many great gags in this one that I don't know where to start. It was a great half-hour packed with jokes, character cameos, Roger doing something ridiculous like becoming the phantom, it was all great. Well done AD.

I'm glad someone else noticed how nasty she acts. I tried watching that show a few times and she acts like one of those girls at bars who treat guys like crap when they try to talk to her.

So, who was that knight guy in the audience?

That guy? He was the knight that guarded a secret passgae for Stan in the Season 2 episode "Of Ice and Men".

Like alot of people said, there were alot of cameoes in the episode.
