A new episode of American Dad airs tonight at 9:30 PM Eastern. Here is the synopsis:

Let's be honest.

They came up with this episode, just so Patrick Stewart could say "Number 1".

But I'll take it, because it's awesome to hear him say "Number 1".

Furries....oh my Lord.

Stan: I came up with a new name for Jackson...Jackson Brownnose. It's a dated reference, but I think people will get it.

Francine sarcastically: I sure hope so.

An awesome episode! Lol the furry convention! Ahh this show is amazing and it continues to get better each and every week. Nice to get a Bullock episode as it's been a while since we've seen him. And the ending was perfect.

5/5

I'm with Old Guy on this one. I'm not saying that American Dad is automatically worse then Family Guy since AD can outclass FG, but I'm also not saying AD is automatically better then Every new Family Guy ep either. For example this week's ep was far below this week's FG. Last week we had a much more interesting AD starring Roger, but this week we're back to basics Stan having to learn a lesson plotting which really kind of feels like retread ground even more then before. Francinnie is annoyed at Stan not saying no to his boss, Stan supposedley getting it at the end of act two but it jsut really being a way to cover for him as he hasn't learned the right thing yet, Stan learning to respect Francinne and spend time with her... haven't we done these kind of epsiodes already. Like specifically already? I do respect this episode for trying to cover some continuity in it's plot (with Avery's adopted son Avery and the joke about his wife being taken by terrorits mentioned before) but it even spoils that since last I checked Francinne was the one who had Avery first and had it given to Bullock in "Four Little Words" so why would Francinne be more against taking care of the kid unless she just wanted to forget all about that affair. Also why is Bullock still looking for women if Avery was suppose to fill the void? I also really didn't care for the Roger subplot of him being jealous of the kid and then trying to bond with him or something. Kind of a lame way to work it into the Stan plot (which AD usually does better truthfully). There were a few good jokes: The whole number one thing (only funny since it's a Star Trek Next Generation ref. Wish they had commented on that though during the course of the ep) the montage of places Stan and Bullock were talking (including a furry convention. Ironically enough there's a furry convention this weekend my friend was going to which... probably wasn't like that all but still funny), Stan shocking Francinne and then saying she was the one that pooped, the sexual costume being a helmet, Francinne talking about only doing a threeway with Scarlett Johannsen and Stan only learning to say no when Bullock was shot and actually needed his help and Fracnncine being confused on why he's having that moment now. Sort of nice inversion ending on the whole thing but it dosen't save this ep from being a sort of lame done before hash of other AD eps.

Stan and Bullock scene jumping was great, culminating in the furry convention. Who knew his old #1 was a furry? Although I'm not sure how a car suit qualifies as furry.

Francine spelling out his other motives was great.

Roger was a bit more annoying this week, but his plan lampshading was well appreciated.

The final act was pretty old hat, with Stan trying to secretly juggle Francine and the fat Asian. And while I appreciated Roger referencing the fact that he often comes up with the solutions, I wish other characters were able to come up with this stuff themselves.

However, I did like Stan finally saying "no" to Bullock, only at the wrong time.

I think this episode shows the signs of age in the "Stan learns a lesson after angering Francine for a while" formula, even though it had the nice twist of him learning it at exactly the wrong time. It was good, but I hope they've gotten these out of their system.
