American Dad moving to the 7:30/6:30c timeslot - your thoughts

I dont know why they just avoid pre-emptions by doing a split-screen format. Put the show on one side of the screen (with audio), and put the game on the other side (sans audio, but do you really need commentary to watch a football game? It would be somewhat distracting, but then the fans of either may be satisfied.

You're suggesting cutting down the football game to half a screen and eliminating the sound just to make sure no one misses an episode of American Dad? Yeah, sports fans are gonna love that one.

I don't know what the NFL post season schedule is, and to tell the truth I don't remember how it worked out last year. Sons of Tuscon could have been in that slot.

They should at least wait until February to move it. But I didn't count the episodes either.

Edit: Anyone know the NASCAR schedule for fox?
I think that may be a bigger source of cartoon-interruptus.

With all these new cartoons I was wondering if they were planing a new animation block. Maybe late night on Saturday even.

Well, maybe not a split screen, but they DO need to end the game right after it ends so as not to pre-empt the show(Do you know ANYONE who watches postgame shows?). Maybe they need to make the same deal Groening has with FOX for the Simpsons that the show must run in full.
